Create in me a pure heart

Psalm 51:10, 15-17 NKJV
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
15 O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise. For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

I love the prayer of David to have a new heart created within. One washed from inequity and sin to be ‘whiter than snow’

Our sacrifice of offering and giving material/natural abilities is not enough to satisfy the desire of our God. For the sacrifice of praise is not something we make of ourself, but is an act of worship to God Almighty which we were created with and enabled to do by receiving His Spirit.

This sacrifice takes a surrender of our spirit and to be humbled in our heart towards Him. Worship is quenched when pride enters our heart.

Hope you get blessed by these thoughts

A Fathers Voice

Proverbs 4
10 Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.
11 I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.
12 When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.
13 Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.

A chapter on wisdom imploring us listen to the father’s instruction and gain understanding. His intention is to give us guidance and a straight path on which to walk.

Able to overcome obstacles and not stumble due to our lack of understanding, we can achieve great momentum in ‘moving forward’. No matter who we are, or where we’re called, this purpose applies to us all. Wisdom that keeps us from distraction, enables us to acheive purpose in our lives.

Prayer:  We believe to hear from God when we ask to “get wisdom” v7
